The Hotel Terminus is enviably positioned by any standard. Not only is it in the heart of Como, just a stone’s throw from the Duomo and not far from numerous Roman, medieval and modern monuments, the hotel also overlooks the lake, whose shores are studded with villas of great historical and artistic importance. The Terminus is just a 40-minute drive from Malpensa airport and 60 minutes from Linate, both in Milan. The Agno airport in Lugano, Switzerland, is about 50 minutes by car, while Bergamo’s Orio al Serio airport is a 90-minute trip. Access to the motorway is 10 minutes from the hotel, at which point Milan and Lugano are just 50 km in opposite directions. The commuter rail station of the Ferrovie Nord Milano is 200 metres from the hotel, while the Ferrovie dello Stato station is about 1 km away. The docks for LakeComo’s ferry system are directly across from the hotel, and the station for the panoramic cable car that goes up the mountain to Brunate is a 300-metre walk.
